Tommy Tucker has a 31-year long career working for all the major Hollywood Studios as an old fashioned vintage sign painter. Tommy majored in art in High School, earned his BFA in painting from Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana, and earned his Master’s in Fine Art at USC. While attending USC, Tommy visited the studio of the 1950s TV show Gun Smoke, a fortuitous inspiration for his painting career. The Dodge City studio set closely resembled the small town of Washingtonville, New York, where Tommy grew up. This small-town boy from upstate New York helped raise research money for the Jaycees and CFF following his daughter’s diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis. Tommy lived in Malibu from 1997 to 2005, worked in Hollywood for over three decades, and painted signs for businesses in Malibu and Topanga for many years. Drawn to Topanga’s small-town feel and good vibes, Tommy joined the Topanga Chamber of Commerce and supports its unique bohemian culture.
